MUSEUM STUDIES

In my practice, I regularly visit museums to observe and draw sculptures in pencil and charcoal. These sessions serve as both a way to refine my technical skills and a meditative exercise, allowing me to focus on the interplay of light and shadow. Museums provide the ideal setting, with carefully curated lighting that highlights the intricate forms and textures of the sculptures. I find particular inspiration in the works of Rodin, whose dynamic forms and expressive surfaces challenge and reward close study.
